England was formed in the very early B.C's. It all started when stone age settlers arrived by crossing the English Channel. The settlers all separated in groups and populated different parts of Great Britain, one of them happened to be England.
Around 55 B.C, Rome started to invade Great Britain, and within 12 years they succeded. In 61 B.C the queen of Britannia(What Britain was called back then) organized a revolt and drove the romans out of Great Britain. Later they built a wall to mark roman territory and Britain territory.
In 1013 A.D england was captured by the Danes, and the danish king sweyn became the first king of england.
In 1066 A.D the Battle Of Hastings Happened and it changed the course of english history. This was because now the royal family had gotten the responsibility to rule over england. The new king, King William the 1st, introduced drastic new changes to the governmental system.
In 1087 A.D king William 1 dies and his son king William 2 takes his place.
In 1224 A.D France declared war with England. and in 1259 the treaty of paris was signed and ended the war with france.
In 1337 A.D once again England goes to war with France, and this war lasts a hundred years. Finally though in 1453 A.D the war ends with Britain claiming victory
In 1338 A.D the black plague begins. Millions of people died.
